H-Sphere versions:   All

This document explains how to update Sudo and Rsync to the latest version in order to fix security problems found in previous versions.

This update includes hsphere-sudo-1.6.8p1 and rsync-2.6.2-1.

The update procedure is performed on CP server and updates all H-Sphere Unix/Linux servers automatically.

1. Log into your control panel server as root:
   su -
2. Download the upgrade package from our site:
   Linux:
   FreeBSD:
   
3. Unpack the archive:
   tar -xzf s-updates.tgz
4. Enter the unpacked directory:
   cd s-updates
5. Run the update:
   ./update.sh
