This page lists latest versions of major packages installed with H-Sphere on Linux/FreeBSD
servers and contains links to the corresponding documentation, changelogs and update instructions.
All these packages have hsphere- part in their title, except for MySQL and PostgreSQL packages, and are built
and maintained together with H-Sphere core.
IMPORTANT!
Apart from the hsphere- packages, there are also other packages in the Common Packages section of
HS Package List. These packages are integral part
of H-Sphere and are essential for its correct installing and operating. However, there are distinctions in their
installing during H-Sphere installations/updates:
- During H-Sphere installations/updates the script processes titles of the packages using masks. The masks are listed in the third
column of the pkglist file for the corresponding version (e.g. for H-Sphere 3.0 Patch 7 it is
http://www.psoft.net/shiv/HS/releases/U30.0/U30.0P7/pkglist).
- A system package of this kind is installed only if the package with the corresponding mask is absent.
- Otherwise its installing is skipped even if the version of the available package is lower than the updated one.
- This is done to prevent hosting providers from possible conflicts and problems when using native package managers
(yum, up2date, etc. for Linux or portupgrade for FreeBSD).
Common Packages
Common packages are those used for different types of H-Sphere servers.
For example, hsphere-apache is installed on Web, mail, MySQL (for PhpMyAdmin), and
PostgreSQL (for PhpPgAdmin) servers; and the hsphere-scripts package is installed
on every Unix server.
