Parallels has released the new version of Parallels H-Sphere, version3.2 which includes several exciting new features. To see a list of new features, please see the release notes.
With the release of ParallelsH-Sphere 3.2, we have aligned the licensing of the product to existing Parallels standards. This allows us to provide you the convenience of utilizing a lease model for your licenses and allows us to have Parallels H-Sphereavailable to all of our partners.
In order to upgrade to Parallels H-Sphere 3.2, all current License holders will be required to have an active Software Update Service (SUS) subscription. SUS is an annual fee-basedsubscription allowing the Licensee unlimited updates to the latest versions of the Software for the term of the subscription. The expiration date of your SUS subscription is either one year after your initial license purchase or 1 year after your last maintenance invoice was paid. Prior to the end of the SUS subscription, the Licensee will have the ability to Renew the SUS subscription for another annual term. The cost to Renew SUS is 25% of the Retail cost of the License. In the event the Licensee does not Renew the SUS subscription and later wants to receive SUS, Parallels offers the ability for the Licensee to Reinstate the SUS subscription. The cost to Reinstate the SUS subscription is 65% of the Retail cost of the License and theterm will last for 1 year from the Reinstatement date.
For this specific release of Parallels H-Sphere 3.2, the Licensee will not be able to perform the upgrade without receiving a new license key. If your SUS is active, you will be able to upgrade using the online upgrade tool.
If your SUS is not active, you can purchase a new SUS subscription via the online store or by contacting Parallels. From now until November 31 2008, we are offering ALL H-Sphere License holders regardless of SUS status (or past H-Sphere Maintenance status), to receive a new SUS subscription at the renewal price, which is only 25% of the retail cost of your License. Please note that you do not need to upgrade to Parallels H-Sphere 3.2 at this time in order to take advantage of this promotion.Additionally, lease licensing for Parallels H-Sphere 3.2 will be available at increments of 200, 500, or 1000 accounts. If your current licensing package is not compliant with these levels, you can upgrade to the nearest block for only $49. If you are renewing your SUS, you can upgrade your account level at the same time. For customers who need an account level higher than 1000, please contact us directly.
