Single Server Edition

H-Sphere Single Server Edition provides an easy way to sell and install typical one server H-Sphere configuration across data centers.

This document covers two important Single Server aspects: installation and license.

Single Server Edition Installation

Single Server Edition is a special H-Sphere installation mode for preparing one server H-Sphere installation without specifying service zone and IP. That means, you first run installer to create one server pre-configured H-Sphere with all required services chosen (Web, mail, DNS, user databases) and respective packages installed, but without service zone and IP specified. Then you may easily export this "half-finished" installation as an HDD image to a typical datacenter server and run installer in a special post installation mode where you specify a particular service domain and IP.

Single Server Edition installation comprises 3 stages:

1. Run the H-Sphere install/update script with the presingle option:

   presingle [ skip-sitestudio ] [ group=cp,mail,unix_hosting,mysql,dns,mrtg ]

   This will install all the packages related to the services chosen, but without post-configuration scripts.

2. Create HDD image of the prepared Single Server H-Sphere.
3. Export HDD image to another box in a datacenter and run the installer with the postsingle option where you specify service domain and IP:

   postsingle zone=SERVICE_ZONE ip=IP1  [ skip-sitestudio ]
              [ group=cp,mail,unix_hosting,mysql,dns,mrtg ]
              [ ip2=IP2 ] [ natip=NAT_IP ] [ mask=MASK ]

   This will install and run post-configuration scripts to complete Single Server installation.

Single Server Edition License

Single Server Edition has a different license which is sold for $50/month.

Single Server Control Panel is configured to operate only with valid license. Implemented callback mechanism enables H-Sphere to check every second day if the license is valid. If it's not, it shows a message stating there's a problem with license or it cannot reach the licensing server. CP stops accepting new connections within 7 days after the last confirmation of license validity.

To manage Single Server H-Sphere:

1. sales@psoft.net to purchase Single Server Edition license and get license info
2. Install H-Sphere
3. Enter Control Panel. You will be prompted to fill in License Info. Otherwise, you won't be able to work.
4. Enter License Info.
