Mail Package Title

H-Sphere mail service is represented by mail package called

• hsphere-mail-service-3-xx - HS 2.4.3 and under HS 2.5;
• hsphere-mail-service-4-xx - for HS 2.5 and up

Included Software

H-Sphere mail service includes popular mail applications:

• hsphere-qmail - message transfer utility on the modified sendmail protocol. (See Qmail configuration manual)
• hsphere-vpopmail - virtual mail utility on the POP protocol.
• hsphere-ucspi - tcp server and related utilities.
• hsphere-autorespond - autoresponder.
• hsphere-ezmlm - mailing list manager.
• clamav - qmail antivirus module.
• spamassassin with additional perl modules - qmail antispam module.

Also, ClamAV and SpamAssassin require MySQL to store antivirus/antispam data, and they run under the supervise utility of DJB daemontools.

Installation/Updates

H-Sphere mail service is normally installed:

• in H-Sphere versions under 2.5 by the H-Sphere server installation script as outlined in the Adding Servers document
• in H-Sphere 2.5 and up by H-Sphere updater

and updated with H-Sphere updates. See H-Sphere mail service update logs for H-Sphere versions before 2.5 and for 2.5 and up.

Alternatively, H-Sphere mail service can be set up from sources.
