WARNING: This documentation covers Parallels H-Sphere versions up to 3.1. For the latest up-to-date Parallels H-Sphere documentation, please proceed to the
official Parallels site.
H-Sphere mail system consists of the following blocks:
- H-Sphere Mail Service: includes
Qmail SMTP server with a number of antispam/antivirus and other extensions,
vpopmail POP3 server, and a number of other applications.
- H-Sphere Webmails: two analogous webmail
applications, SqWebMail and IMP to manage mail through web interface.
System administrators can choose which of them will be offered to hosting customers.
Apache used by these packages is the same as on the H-Sphere web servers.
- H-Sphere IMAP Server: Courier-IMAP server package. It is included
into H-Sphere mail system by default.
- H-Sphere Daemontools: a collection of
tools for managing UNIX services (such as ClamAV) adapted for H-Sphere.
More about Daemontools
In the future, we are planning to implement separate package for
DCC Server.
All mail system components are installed with H-Sphere by default. Alternatively, you can install and upgrade them
from sources, according to your custom configuration.
